Slate: Requesting Access (Security)

Overview

This guide will help you determine which role you should request for your Slate Access as a staff person. This guide will also provide the steps to request your security.

Determine the Appropriate Role to Request

Please review the description of available roles to determine which role includes the functionality required for you to complete your job duties.

Complete the Request Form

Complete the Slate Security Request form. Indicate the role that you are requesting per the list provided above. Once you have submitted this form:

  1. A Slate administrator on campus will review your request and complete the PeopleSoft Access Request form on your behalf for the role indicated.

  2. The PeopleSoft Request Form will route to the manager you indicated on the Slate Security Request Form for approval.

  3. The fully approved PeopleSoft Request Form will be processed in 3-7 business days.

If the role you indicate requires training, your request will not be processed until the training requirement is complete.

Sign in to Slate

Once your access request is process, you will be able to sign in to Slate.

  1. Go to one.sjsu.edu

  2. Search for “Slate” in the “what would you like to do” search bar

  3. Click on the “Slate” tile
