(info) General Information about SJSU ID

For Students/Incoming Students/Applicant

Incoming students should receive an email from Admissions with their SJSU ID number. This should happen within 5 business days of receipt of application.

If the student has received the email but has lost or forgotten the ID refer to the tutorial underneath to walk the customer through the SJSU ID Lookup tool.

For Employees

Faculty/Staff should receive an email from HR with their 9-digit SJSUOne ID Number.

If received but forgotten, refer to the tutorial below.

For Former Students

If the student has attended the school within the past year, refer to the tutorial below.

If it has been more than a year,

direct customer to MySJSU Alumni Account Help Form and fill out the information

🔍 How to Look up ID Number for Students, Faculty, and Staff? (Customer Walk-Through)

  1. Direct customer to 'ID Look Up' option (sjsuone.sjsu.edu/idlookup)

    1. From https://one.sjsu.edu/ , enter "SJSU ID lookup" in the search bar and click on the tile

  2. Fill out the requested information:

  3. Once the information has been entered. The ID number will show up in RED.
    A result shows up if all 3 pieces of information are on file and are correct.
