Live Chat TR

Getting Started

  1. Go to one.sjsu.edu and look for “Live Chat X2”, then start it.

2. Click “Get Online & Chat”

3. The Live Chat window will pop up, go to “Live Chat” to go online.

4. This is where you will receive chat messages. In the picture below, there are no chats at the moment.


Agent Status

 

Online - Ready to receive messages

Away - Not ready but still logged in as an agent

Logout - Just log you out but chat window does not close

Exit - This will close the chat window, log you out, and exit you out

Transfering Customers

  1. In the top right of the chat panel select Transfer

  1. The pop up display below will appear. You can either choose to transfer to a specific agent or to a department. Available deparments and reps will apear.

  1. Select an available department or agent and then click transfer

  1. A message should appear at the bottom confirming the transfer was successful.

 

Other Features

View Customer Information:

  • When in a chat with a customer you can view their info in the right side panel.

  • Country, Operating System, Browser.

  • SJSU email

  • Department

  • SJSU ID

  • SJSU Status

  • Location and IP address

  • Website the user is currently browsing

Agents Log and Chat

  • You can view what agents are logged in and available and their repsective departments in the left side panel.

  • You can also chat with other agents and departments in this view.
